Whether looking for vertical jump, change of direction, throwing velocity, hitting power, or straight ahead sprinting, the physical quality underlying all these movements is SPEED.  There is no shortcut to getting faster.  Speed comes from a combination of factors.

    - High level of strength relative to bodyweight
    - The ability to activate that strength immediately, like flipping a light switch
    - The application of that strength at the proper angles, in the correct body positions
    - The ability to deactivate the opposing muscles to allow high speed efficiency in movement
    - Sufficient mobility to perform the given sport movements without restriction
    - Sufficient stabilization to allow for transfer of force through the entire body
    - Elasticity and the stretch-shortening cycle

We assess each of these qualities on every athlete regardless of age or ability level, in order to individualize every athlete's program to maximize their progress.  It is not uncommon for our most focused athletes to see improvements in their sport movement in a single session.  Don't leave your starting position, college scholarship, or professional contract to a youtube video telling you speed comes from "these 3 simple exercises".  Speed is complex, but it CAN be trained in everyone with the right knowledge, proper analysis, and a facility designed for speed and power.
Athletes coming off of injuries are frequently cleared to return once mobility and localized strength have reached sufficient levels.  This often leaves athletes continuing to compensate from the injury, and at high risk for another injury.  We bridge the gap between rehab and returning to sport by safely and progressively increasing the demands on the athlete at speed while re-training the mechanics.  We have all the latest rehab and recovery equipment in our facility to get you back into competition fast if you don't feel fully confident after being cleared.
